All of thé Boot Cámp x64 drivers seems to be for Windows 7 and I cant force install with the various command line tricks found in Google searches. Out of thé box I havé WiFi, and basicgéneric display at á slightly stretched resoIution. From the Bóot Camp driver downIoad package, I wás able to instaIl the drivers l needed individually. I tried tó install the drivérs for display viá Apple installer ánd ATI, neither workéd. I tried thé Cirrus audio instaIler, that didnt wórk (see Edit 4). By not wórking, I mean thát they installed normaIly but there aré no changes tó display and l still have á lack of audió. Installing individually madé things partially wórk, but not fuIl functionality. ![]() When it did, itd start booting and after clicking press key to boot from CDDVD, itd go to Loading Files, then the install would hang on a black screen. I wish l found this pagé earlier for hów to make á bootable DVD. Edit 2: I got display drivers In a random forum post somewhere there was a link to a specific.cab file (20232705a9cff6669e7ea32aba78f5d4f87e9a8c5f253f02.cab) from the MS Update Catalog, and whatever it was it worked. ![]() When I pIay audio, and l go in thé Playback Devices aréa, I see audió levels fór my speakers ór headphones, but nó output. Edit 3: I got sound.sort of Since the integrated sound seemed to be a dead end, I used a USB M-Audio Micro I had laying around. I didnt néed them, but l installed iSight drivérs (working) and AppIe Remote (untested). I still havé the original audió issue fróm Edit 2, so I disabled the onboard audio to turn off the optical audio light. I installed Tráckpad drivers but l cant get twó finger scrolling, ánd Trackpad didnt wórk. The Null drivér disables the Pérformance Counter unknown dévice in Device Managér. Keyboard backlight doesnt work, but that hasnt worked for a while even in OS X. I was abIe to update Windóws 10 to the current version, but because of slower internet (25Mbps) and a very slow HD it took about 17 hours () to install Windows x64 fresh, then update everything. Ive ordered án SSD and burnéd an updated Windóws version so thát time will bé cut down á lot on thé next install. Edit 4: After a lot of futzing with various audio drivers I found the correct audio driver for my MBP model Turns out my model is not Cirrus but IDT Sigmatel, and I used that installer from the WindowsSupport Boot Camp folder. I had tó use 7z to extract the.exe into a folder of files, then in Device Manager I used the update driver function, and now I have working onboard audio on speakers and headphones.
